AIOTI online General Assembly
AIOTI held its online General Assembly on 12. November. The 2020 budget and the membership fee were approved and priorities for 2020 presented. The main priorities will be the EU Partnership under Horizon Europe and signature event together with the strategy workshop.
The Global Blockchain Congress was held this year on 11-13 November in Malaga. AIOTI was represented by Tom de Block. In his panel, Tom explained how blockchain technology can transform the IP ecosystem, in particular, for SMEs and those that deal with IP across the world economy.

Workshop on digitalisation and sustainability – Towards an Improved Biodiversity and Sustainability agriculture in the EU, was held on 12 November in Brussels, hosted by the European Policy Centre (EPC).
AIOTI Parm Raeewal, WG Smart Buildings and Architecture Chairwoman, attended the workshop and presented the recommendations and conclusions from the AIOTI Whitepaper on IoT Digital Innovation Hubs Network Version 1.0 released in October. The EPC is working on a paper that will feed in the findings from the workshop due to be completed Q1 2020.
AIOTI Steering Board Chairwoman Natalie Samovich and WG research Chair Ovidiu Vermesan represented AIOTI at the Smart Networks and Services Task Force meeting held on 26 November in Lisbon, Portugal. The workshop is part of the ongoing discussions with 5G IA on the future EU partnership under Horizon Europe program. They were also participating at the Vision of Future Communications Summit held on 27 and 28 November as well in Lisbon.
