WP 1: IoT & Edge Computing Landscape (Leader: Georgios Karagiannis (Huawei))

This WP focuses on (1) IoT & Edge Computing Landscape maintenance to keep the liaisons alive and maintain dialogue on how to foster collaboration to improve interoperability & security, (2) IoT impact on 5G (and beyond 5G), (3) gap analysis and recommendations, (4) cooperation with SDOs/Alliances to foster co-creation and interworking, (5) IoT & Edge Computing standardisation and impact on the Industry Digitization, (6) IoT & Edge Computing standardisation and impact on the UN SDGs and European Green Deal, (7) Provide Computing Continuum standardisation requirements on IoT and edge computing and describe enablers, such as optical communications, that can solve these requirements

 

WP 2: HLA / High Level Architecture (Leaders: Marco Carugi (Huawei))

  • This WP provides guidelines for (1) an IoT & Edge Computing Reference (High Level) Architecture and its mapping with existing IoT & Edge Computing Reference Architectures and for (2) IoT Identification, (3) Architecture and interfaces for IoT & Edge Computing Data marketplaces, including guidelines for Data Access and Data Sharing and as well guidelines of enhancement of data sharing in support of the Green Deal

 

WP 3: Semantic Interoperability (Leaders: Martin Bauer (NEC) / Laura Daniele (TNO))                          

  • This WP focuses on semantic interoperability concepts

 

WP 4: Privacy (in cooperation with WG Policy & Strategies) (Leader: Arthur van der Wees (Arthurs Legal))

  • This WP focuses on guidelines on concrete standard framework & references to enable “IoT Trust” and IoT “Privacy by design. In particular, this WP focuses on guidelines on (1) how to translate the Digital Rights Management recommendations within IoT domains and cross – IoT domains, (2) Key Principles on Security & Privacy in the IoT (focusing mainly on Privacy), which can be applied within IoT domains and cross – IoT domains, (3) for the support of developing standards, for trust, privacy and end-to-end security, e.g. through a ‘trusted IoT label’ that can be applied within IoT domains and cross – IoT domains. In addition topics related to the impact of edge computing on Privacy in the IoT will be as well taken into account.

 

WP 5: Security (in cooperation with WG Policy & Strategies) (Leaders: Arthur van der Wees (Arthurs Legal) Jacques-Kruse Brandao (SGS Group), Harm Jan Arendshorst (ILabs Technology))           

This WP focuses on providing guidelines on (1) an IoT Security Architecture for Trusted IoT Devices, (2) testing and implementation of the Cybersecurity certification schemes and (3) concrete standard framework & references to enable “IoT Trust” based on IoT “Security by design”, (4) on Cross EU government coordination ensuring common standards for secure and borderless public sector data flows and services. In addition topics related to the impact of edge computing on Security in the IoT will be as well taken into account.
